It shouldn’t be a surprise to me that our first children’s program at the Flickering Light sold out–this neighborhood is well known for being where people come to make babies. Well, maybe not where they make them. Where they raise them.
My Monday mention for the week is dedicated to all the lovely little ones in the neighborhood. We’re lucky to have an excellent bookstore that specializes in children’s books called Blue Marble Books. It’s one of the few independently owned bookstores left in this city.
If you’ve never been there, don’t judge it based on the website–it’s design doesn’t really capture the great vibe of the store. But do check out the content.
On April 9-11th they are holding a Children’s Literary Festival that looks real incredible.
