Join us for a look at the importance of music in film, with an emphasis on independent documentary and narrative film makers here in our area.

Keynote by Don Argott (Award Winning Director-Art of the Steal, Rock School, Last Days Here)

Panel 1- Making the Connection: networking, building the relationship, working together: Three pairs of directors and their musical collaborators talk about how the music came together: networking, presenting and pitching, long term relationships, trial and error, working for free, and lots of caffeine.
Moderator: Rodney Whittenberg (Emmy-winning director, composer, arranger, instrumentalist)

Panel 2- Independent Film, Independent Music: Four independent film makers preview excerpts from their recent films, and discuss the important role of music in presenting the film’s story.
