New interactive map based on census data shows languages other than English spoken in the US

A new interactive map has been released that allows users to look up the number of people in the US that speak another primary language in addition to English. It’s no surprise that Spanish and Chinese rank highest.

Using the map I was able to confirm that the small southern town I grew up in had a high concentration of Persians (relative to our surrounding)–I always thought there seemed to be a lot of us for such a small place.

No matter what your stance on immigration and immigrants, this map certainly proves that our “takeover” has already happened whether you like it or not!

You can check out the map on the census page here.
