The Basics

I learned to talk in Iran and to press the record button in the United States.

Over the past decade my work has focused on independent filmmaking, teaching media studies and production, and doing communications and marketing primarily for arts and cultural organizations.

The only thing that makes me happier than watching independent films is cooking dinner for people I love. I’m kind of a Persian Martha Stewart. With tattoos, and a dedication to vipassana meditation practice. Oh, and going on adventures with this handsome guy and his camera makes me pretty happy too.
