I learned to talk in Iran and to press the record button in the United States.
Over the past decade my work has focused on independent filmmaking, teaching media studies and production, and doing communications and marketing primarily for arts and cultural organizations. By day I work as a Social Media Specialist at the American Friends Service Committee. When I’m not there I’m making films, or writing.
I’m dedicated to: my Vipassana meditation practice (13 years), Philadelphia (17 years), and supporting the work of emerging artists.
You can read more about my thoughts on film, books, arts and culture projects and fun stuff in Philly on my blog.
If you’d like to know the random thoughts that pass through my head during the day in 140 characters or less, you can follow me on Twitter.
